Today was the last day of my internship. On my way home on the train it finally hit me that in two weeks, instead of taking a train home, I'll be taking a plane back to Boston.
I have to admit... Time has flown!
It feels like yesterday I got off the plane at Heathrow and jumped into PB's waiting arms. The first two weeks were spent up with me working on my Trusts & Estates project, then my internship started and PB started his 3 days a week in Brussels. That is when the time here seriously started moving too quickly. I have loved spending this summer with PB. it's been sort of a test run for me of both living with PB (I've never lived with a guy before) and living in a foreign country.
It hasn't always been easy... I've been infuriated with the London tube system, confused by crosswalks, tickled by little British toddlers, exhausted by the commute, annoyed by the lack of stair-masters at my gym, obsessed with fish and chips, flustered by British Weight Watchers, appalled by the liquidity of british yogurt and blessed to be lucky enough to have snagged such a great guy. I miss my Nannie, my dog, my mom, my bed, my gym, my city, my friends, my yogurt, my stores, my apartment and my normal Weight Watchers meeting. However, I've really grown to love this country and am truly looking forward to moving here next fall.
I know I've been a really lax blogger but it's because I've been trying to spend every spare minute I can with PB and enjoying this wonderful country. I have SO much to blog about and now that I have more free time, I'll be updating you on weeks of fun stuff!
Now, I'm going to suck it up and stop moping about leaving!
I'm going to make the best of my last two weeks... We're going to kick off the beginning of the end with a weekend in Paris!
