Tea Time Tuesday- ON TUESDAY!

Have y'all have all fallen off your chairs because I'm 1) ACTUALLY posting and 2)because I'm finally posting the next installment of "Tea Time Tuesday"? If so, pick yourselves up and check out my review of The famed Pump Room in Bath. PB and I randomly headed to Bath a couple of weekends ago (which is where I found Joules) and we immediately decided we had to see the Roman Baths.

Here are some photos snapped walking around the baths...

(Original underfloor heating!)

Tea was SUPERB! It was packed but worth the wait. (I mean, if Jane Austen loved the Pump Room, I knew that I would love it!)

*The room was stunning! It was light and airy and gorgeous.*

*We had prime seats directly next to the music... They were brilliant.*

*Our teapots and a view of our chive scones (AMAZING) and our cheddar crumpets which we added onto the standard tea. We hadn't eaten since breakfast, so tea doubled as our lunch. I could have eaten 45 of the chive scones!*

*The rest of the tea. I want it noted, for the record, that PB polished off 4 scones. F-O-U-R! And 90% of the clotted cream. Apparently he has a hollow leg!
The profiteroles were delicious and light and the scones were warm and delicious. The cucumber sandwich with cream cheese and chives was my favorite. They were all fresh and super tasty. This was heads and shoulders about the Hathaway Tea Rooms.*

*PB inhaling one of his 4 scones... Not that I judged. Or anything...*

Tea was absolutely divine. The tea was perfectly steeped and they had cubed sugar, which is absolutely required for a real high tea. The food was simply delightful. We both ate ourselves silly! I'm currently searching for recipes for cheddar & chive scones because I could have eaten like 45 of them. If you are in Bath you MUST check out the Pump Room and the Roman Baths. (And again, must go to Joules!) My only complaint was the service. We had a miserable server, but even her attitude could not ruin our delicious lunch/tea.

As we were walking back to the parking lot, or "car park" as PB says, I couldn't help but be amazed by the scenery... Bath is lovely!
