Ijust finished reading Celebutantes by Amanada Goldberg & Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper and I couldn't wait to share this great find with you! What a fun and whimsical read! The story centers around Lola Santisi, the daughter of an Oscar winning film directer and a Candy Spelling type mother. She takes a job from her fashion designer friend with one goal... to get his creations on the red carpet for the Oscars! This book came just in time for me with awards season in full swing! It's a sneak peek into the "Hollyweird" scene around this time of year! I loved all the fashion and Hollywood hotspot references in this book and the characters are soooo over the top funny! It's a good quick read and if you love fashion and pop culture, then you'll love this book!I'd especially recommend this book for anyone who's planning a vacay in LA as it mentions several stores, restaurants and clubs that are still a must for a tres chic, trendy vacay in Los Angeles including Mortons, Barney's, my favorite: KOI and several others!
