I finished this book last night and though it took me ages (because I never have sit down quiet time to read) I absolutely LOVED it!!!
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley is a mystery set in 1950's England and told from the point of view of Flavia de Luce, a young girl who is obsessed with chemistry and poisons! I won't give much away and hate reviews for doing so and ruining books and films for me sometimes! What I will say is that though it sounds odd, reading a story from the point of view of an intelligent and wiley child is soooo interesting and not childish at all! Those of you who've read
Atonement can compare... I also loved Atonement! Great book!!!

My next read is light and fluffy... Celebutantes by Amanda Goldberg & Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper! I'm hoping it makes the long trip to LA fly by... no pun intended! HA!
Happy reading!
xoxo,
Pink Julep!
