With the wedding only 5 months away, it's pretty much my biggest priority at this point! Everything is wedding and work, but I've having a great time planning it!!! When I'm not working or doing household chores, I'm crafting, working out, making plans, sending e-mails or online shopping - all for the wedding!!! So much fun!
Thought I'd give you some updates on my choices:
This is the headpiece I chose. My mother bought me the headband and veil - surprisingly, we found the perfect choices at David's Bridal! My mom has made wedding veils for my sister, all of her friends and all of my married girlfriends as well, so it was decided that my mom would make the veil. We only went in to look for a tiara or headband of some sort when we found this - it's design is a perfect mix of vintage art deco and Irish-inspired shapes! Love it!!! We also happened to find the perfect veil in terms of shape and length - my mom decided she should buy it and glam it up a bit! I am so excited to see the finished product - she will use Swarovski Crystals and beads to bling out the veil - she is truly gifted!!!

These are the flutes we chose - Vera Wang. Love them and they go with our sort of polka dot theme! When shopping for the flutes, rather than get the usual wedding store ones, I thought we should throw down a few more dollars for Vera and get something we'd want to keep and use after the wedding for years to come! Can't go wrong with Vera!

Same idea for the cake servers - we chose this design by Lenox.

This is our cake topper! One of the first things I bought for the wedding and also one of the first things I've ever bought online! We are in love with it - it's so cute and it suits our nice, but not too stuffy idea of how we want our wedding to look and feel. The only problem - Mr. Julep is bald and this guy is not... but I guess we'll have to overlook that! hee hee

And last but certainly not least, these are my beloved wedding shoes!!! I ordered these nearly 6 months ago from
www.zappos.com and they are too cha cha for words! I bought a dress that would match my shoes and not the other way around! I suppose that might be a little backwards but it worked - the idea I had of what kind of dress I might want worked out just perfectly with these shoes!!! hahahaha These are the Stuart Weitzman Lovers in Fuschia satin.

I've just bought my jewelry this week and I'll post that soon - the problem I am having lately is handbag - any idea where I might get a really fabulous evening bag for the wedding - I'm fearful of using pink because it might not match perfectly! Help ladies! Where shall I look???
xoxo,
Pink Julep
