I've been having the hardest time deciding on flowers for my wedding reception. I feel like I need to make a confession before I go any farther into this...
Hi, My name is Beantown Prepster... and when it comes to flowers... I am a cheapskate.
Don't get me wrong. I love flowers. If I had millions of dollars my reception would be dripping with flowers. However, I don't have a million dollars, and quite honestly I'd rather spend the money on something more fun. Um. Like my honeymoon... or a new dining room chandelier for our house.
So enter flowers. I've had to bright idea to put some pillar candles (or one... jury is still out on the number) in the center of the table and then to have 3 small vases of flowers around it, and then tealights sprinkled all around.
My problem is deciding what TYPE of flowers to put in the small vases... and what kind of small vases... and what color flowers to use...
Oy.
So I think I've determined my bouquet will be comprised of the following:
*White/cream hydrangeas
*White/pink peonies
*Pink David Grey Roses
*White Ranculus
I think my bridesmaids will all be carrying simple hydrangeas (white/cream).
Now... what do I pick for my little vases?
One or two hydrangea stems?
Couple big David Grey Roses?
Mixture of both?
I want classic, pretty and simple.
Now. Send me ALL of your creative suggestions.
Help a sister out!
