Pink & Green Thursday - Exciting News!!

So the last Pink & Green Thursday I posted was sharing my sister and bro-in-laws wedding photos...

Well, it's really funny that my second Pink & Green Thursday will be about them again... I can finally share the good news!!

Drumroll please............

I'm going to be an AUNT! :)

My sister and her husband are expecting, and the baby will be due early February!!

I actually found out on our lake trip in July. My sister gave me a gift - and I remember thinking, "Uh...what is this for?" When I opened it, it was a baby bib that said "I love my Aunt Christy".

I just stared at it really confused...then it hit me. I was like "OMG!" and started tearing up. This is the first grandchild in our family, so it's pretty eventful.

My Mom is over the moon of course with the news - especially since most of her friends have had grandchildren for years now. Despite the fact that most people my sister and I went to high school with were in a big hurry to get married and have kids - my sister and I have taken our sweet time... :)

So now I get to start shopping for fun baby things. They find out whether the baby will be a boy or a girl in two weeks. I secretly want it to be a girl, but like my Mom told me "We want a healthy baby - regardless whether it's a boy or girl." I know, I know... I'll be happy regardless, but a little girl will be so much fun! I almost bought this yesterday in the Lily Pulitzer Rue La La sale just in case...
My sister loves frogs for some reason - she used to have pet frogs, but her cat wasn't happy about them (lol), so she had to give them away. So she's been throwing around the idea of a frog themed nursery - especially if it's a boy.

How cute is this nursery?

And how cute would it be if she carries the whole pink and green theme from her wedding into her baby showers and nursery?? Hmm...definitely needs to be a girl.
