Hubby and I just watched An Education and I must say, this is a really good film! The performances by Peter Sarsgaard, Rosamund Pike, Dominic Cooper, Emma Thompson and Alfred Molina are fantastic! However, Carrie Mulligan's performance is unbeatable! She is so unlucky that Sandra Bullock was so good in The Blind Side cause if Sandy had sucked, Miss Carrie would be sitting at home having a drink with her Oscar.The film, by Nick Hornby (About a Boy) centers around a really intellegent girl who is studying to pass her exams and hopefully attend Oxford University when she becomes involved with an older man. To be honest, that's all I can tell you without giving too much away. It seems to be set in the late 50's or early 60's so the costumes are gorgeous! I really enjoyed this film and so did Mr. Julep!
Don't you think Carrie Mulligan has a touch of the Audrey Hepburns? She's a beautiful, talented actress and I look forward to seeing her future films!Happy Movie Watching!
