Lovely Day For Shopping & Fajitas!

Mister and I put on our work-out gear this morning and headed towards the gym... but somehow we ended up at the pier where he proposed having a chat and watching the beautiful sea for an hour. It was lovely! Which then led to the idea that we should go to Dairy Queen for ice cream - but somehow we ended up at Hagen Daz - fine by me!!! I had the chocolate midnight cookie & cappacino caramel truffle drizzled with caramel on top! YUM! (I know - Bad PJ - wedding only 34 days away!) We should have gone to the gym, but spontaneity (did I spell that right?) got the best of us and we had a great day!!!

After ice cream we did a bit of shopping. There's a new store on Grand Cayman called Hand Made Leather and it's quite nice! Even better, it's USD duty free prices, which is a bargain compared to most shops on island. I picked up these cute leather headbands which will go with a lot of clothes in my wardrobe as well as many of the new things I'm saving for the honeymoon! I'll save these too - build up the suspense!

The linings are green and orange suede, which feels nice on my head - doesn't pull my hair!

I also have a dilemma - the store that sells my Sexy Straight Hair shampoo and conditioner in bulk is no longer carrying it!!! I can't find it anywhere on the island! So I have to switch... I've chosen to try these which I picked up today.

Biolage Smoothing Shampoo

And Biolage Smoothing Conditioner.
Mister wanted to stop by the book store - I didn't need any books because I've got so many left to read before I should buy anymore - seriously, I must have 15 books that I still haven't read! I got soooo many for Christmas - which is great!
I did however pick up one book:

So many of you have read and reviewed this book on your blogs that when I saw the last copy on the shelf, I grabbed it before anyone else could! Can't wait to read it!
After all the shopping, we went to Paradise Restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner. We ended up leaving before we ordered. Pink Julep has a serious issue with the locals on Grand Cayman (or anywhere for that matter) eating endangered sea turtles! There is a Turtle Farm attraction park here, but that's what it is - a farm that sells turtles to the natives for eating. I understand that it's a traditional delicacy, but Sea Turtles are an endangered species! Pink Julep is by no means a vegetarian, but does not under any circumstances short of starvation approve of or support the eating of endangered animals!!! So after seeing Turtle Burger on the menu, I immediately pouted and refused to eat there. The mister supported my activism whole heartedly and we went to the store where we bought ingredients for the YUMMY fajitas I made for dinner!!! It's been a great day!!!
xoxo,
Pink Julep!
