Mr. Julep took me to see Dear John last night. I liked it a lot. It's no Notebook or A Walk to Remember, but it was a very good story as one might expect from Nicholas Sparks! Tatum Channing was the perfect John and the chemistry between him and Amanda Seyfried was pure and sweet innocent young love personified!

This film made me so homesick for America and I found myself crying through the whole film. Between the father's sad character, references to 9/11, war scenes, Southern American Beaches and sad love issues, I was a hopeless mess. But if there's anything I know, it's that sometimes you need a good ole fashioned romantic tear-jerker love fest chick flick (think PS I Love You, The Notebook, Captain Corelli's Mandolin)! I just love them and usually feel cleansed in some way after getting all the tearful blubbering out of my system!!!
