I guess you could say I'm officially back in business here on the blog after an incredible weekend down in the Big Easy with Trish and Matt and some very wonderful blog ladies! My words truly don't do this weekend justice- it was one of those 'pinch me, this can't be real' moments! I feel so lucky to know these beautiful people!
Enjoy, sweet friends!
**
Day 1: Arrival in Nola, welcome gifts, dinner at Jacques-Imo's. . .
(Throws from Muses that Trishy put together for me, and a monogrammed koozie)
(Cheers to blog friends turned real- life besties!)
(Sweetest couple ever)
~~~~~~
Day 2: Beignets and bubbly, lunch at Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, strolling the Quarter, cupcake making. . .
(Sweet sugar and champagne- best way to start the day)
(Melanie and me at LA Pizza Kitchen)
(Trishy and me having a photo-op)
(Jambalaya, Hawaiian and Margherita pizza)
(Daphne, Melanie, Lacey, me & Trishy)
**
(Meeting up with Summer at El Gato Negro)
(My sweet Sum Sum and me finally getting to hug each other!)
(A little 'stache action!)
(When the sun goes down in the Quarter. . .)
**
(Rainbow cupcakes for the St. Patty's party!)
~~~~~
Day 3: St. Patty's Day party, parade, dinner at The Rivershack Tavern. . .
(Rainbow cupcakes complete with toppers from Sparkles)
(My Nola girls- Melanie, Jen and Trish)
**
(Melanie and me on the parade route!)
(Gettin' some beads!)
(Sweet fella walking in the parade handed over this cute lil umbrella to me :) )
(Throw me somethin' mister!!)
(There's something about this photo that makes me want to squeal!)
**
(Had some yummy margaritas and fried pickles at this joint my last night in Nola)
~~~~~
Day 4: Leaving Nola. . .
(Loving on little Jolie)
(Jolie is a true Nola girl)
(So much loot it had to be shipped back!)
(All photos belong to me. Taken March 11-14, 2011)
Pictures do this trip so much more justice than my words ever could! If anyone out there in blog land is as blessed as me to make connections like the ones I have, please hold on to those people and never let them go! I can't tell you how much these ladies mean to me.
I hope to someday be able to see them and love them more often in person. Until that day, I will treasure these photos and this weekend with all my heart!
