Don't get me wrong... I love Christmas. I've always tried to hurry Christmas along... I love the music, the smells, the lights, the cheer, the treats, the warm bevies, the colors... LOVELOVELOVE.
HOWEVER...
I find as I start planning my move across the pond I find myself annoyed that Thanksgiving is being overlooked. I told PB that from now on we'll be having a Thanksgiving dinner at our house every year. It is an American holiday that is really important and I guess I never realized how important it is to me until I was faced with it being taken away!
I can't wait to decorate the dining room in browns, oranges & reds. I can't wait to whip out the gravy boat and the silver... neither of which we have yet, but we will! I can't wait to make little Martha Stewart place cards in the shape of Turkeys. I can't wait to introduce my soon-to-be-in-laws to the joys of roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and pumpkin pie!
I just can't wait.
So I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout-out to Thanksgiving...
It's almost becoming the forgotten holiday!
