We had the best night last night in a round about way! Mister played Rugby while I tidied the house and prepped dinner and then our friends, a lovely couple who are moving back to England soon, came round for dinner. Before they got here though, a gigantic beast flew over my head and into the house!!! CRAZY! I thought it was a bat since it was roughly the size of face! Turns out it was a gigantic MOTH!!! ICK! The nature on this island is causing me to lose seconds off my life everytime I turn around! hahaha
So I served filet mignon, garlic cheese mashed potatoes, baked beans (a favorite among Irish and Brits) and brownies for desert! MY STEAK WAS PERFECT!!! First time I've gotten the color in the middle just perfect since I started making filets about 6 months ago... I usually end up over cooking just slightly, but I'm finally getting the hang of it!
Anyway, it was a fab night and we stayed up till 4am! Mister is still in bed and it's nearly 3pm! We're gonna catch some rest and then head out for a beachside BBQ a little later, which I'm looking forward to! This is a great weekend!!! Hope you're all enjoying it!
