A couple weeks ago I went to a birthday party for my boss, and I decided to take a yummy cheeseball that my mom has been making for years! This was the first time that I tried it myself and it turned out delish and was a big hit! I haven't posted a recipe in a while so I thought this was a great one to share.
Mom's Cheeseball
Ingredients:
2 blocks of cream cheese (I use Philadelphia)
3 packs thinly sliced ham (I use Land 'O Frost)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (I use Lea & Perrins)
3 tablespoons chives
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt or garlic powder
First, chop the ham with a chopper
Then you put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Leave a little ham out so you can roll the cheese ball in it at the end.
Then mix with your hands! I love this part! It's how my mom has always done it and it's really better than stirring it!
And then just form it in a ball and place it on your serving platter. I didn't actually 'roll' the cheese ball in the ham. I covered it in ham once it was on my platter. Your choice!
This is such a yummy appetizer and it's always a BIG hit! And you can choose the crackers you want to use, these are the ones we have always eaten with it, especially the Chicken in a Biskit! Mmmmmm.
My mom got me that pretty stand for Christmas. The party was my first night using it, I felt like such a big girl!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
