Play Time is OVER!

Our birthdays are over now and so is our fun - it's back to wedding planning! With only 3 months, 2 weeks and 1 day until the wedding, there is much to do! We have like 15 weekends before the wedding - one of those is used up travelling to the wedding and another is used up when I go to the states soon to collect my dress and arrange for alterations! We are mad crazy busy!!! But it's kind of fun!!!

M and I have just sat down for the past few hours hammering out a playlist for our Rehearsal Dinner Rooftop BBQ!!! We were going back and forth between 50's/Rockabilly music and country music when it hit us!!! We had been trying to implement some cajun-ish sort of music into a part of our reception and it wasn't going well - we have definite music plans for all 8 hours! Crazy, I know! So we decided that we'd do a nod to my Southern roots (though not from Louisiana AT ALL - I've never even been there much to my dismay!) and use dixieland/Cajun/Zydeco music for the rehearsal dinner! I think it will fit in well with our theme even though we're not serving shrimp, gumbo or jumbalaya! It's pretty close to country, which would have been my first choice, but because most of it is in French, none of my Yankee relatives will make fun of me and we'll seem tres chic for chosing it! hee hee

I got the idea cause I LOVE some of the music from Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood which is one of my favorite movies and all Steel Magnolias - the wedding scene music is TO DIE FOR!!! LOVE IT!!!

This is a really great way for me to bring some Southern Charm to my wedding and I'm soooo excited!!! Hopefully it will be really fun and everyone will like it.

xoxo,
Pink Julep!
