For hubby's birthday yesterday we went out to a movie. There was a small celebration on Saturday, but being a Monday evening, there wasn't too much we could do last night. We opted to see Shutter Island and it was AMAZING!!! The story is brilliant! The actors were excellent! And I normally don't enjoy Scorcese films, but I must say, this is a work of art and quite possibly his best film in my humble opinion! The cinematography was really artistic and almost a character of the film. I highly recommend catching this one on the big screen for full effect and don't worry too much, it's creepy but not a thrasher film. I'd probably call it a suspense thriller if anything. Totally worth the ticket price and the bazillion dollar popcorn!!!
And I must say... Can somebody PLEASE give Leo an Oscar for goodness sake!?!?!?! He's more than earned it time and time again and this film is no exception.
