It all started when I went to the Duty Free to pick up mascara. Since they were out of YSL Singulier which I haven't yet tried, I went back to this old faithful... I'm over DS Iconic... Let's face it, I can't put it on without getting it all over my face, so therefore, it's not for me. End of story as far as I'm concerned.
While I was there, I made an appointment to meet with a Nars artist as I am forever seeking a better alternative for my foundation/powder. I've been using the same thing since I was 15 and I can't get it here, nor could I get it in NYC. It's a huge hassle to have to stock up when I'm home visiting or worse yet, have my mom ship me my foundation! Ridonkulous! So I decided to try Nars! I love all the products I've used from Nars, so I assumed I'd be pleased!
And let me tell you... I'm ecstatic!!!
I start now with the primer. Nars offers two versions of primer. One is just standard and the black bottle below which is what I have, has SPF20! Perfect for the sun here! I had never tried primer before ever, but let me tell you, I'm a believer! My make-up stays on ALL DAY now, no matter how much I sweat or how many times (gross I know) I touch my face or blow my nose! This is the Christmas miracle I've always dreamed of!!! Not looking like a zebra by noon!!!

To seal the deal, I'm using Nars loose powder. I have had issues with loose powders before. I've tried them all, Clinique, Laura Mercier, everything. This one is fantastic. It simply does its job and sets the foundation, but it doesn't leaving me looking all matted and powdery. I still finish with my Stilla shimmer powder on my nose, cheeks and forehead, but to be honest, I wouldn't have to necessarily... I just like to be super glowy.

While I was there, I picked up a sharpener too. And I love it. It holds the shavings inside. And it has 2 sizes.
Most of these products were in the $25 - $30 range, which I think is reasonable for a product that makes me want to get out of bed in the morning just to put my face on. If you're looking for a great way to highlight the beauty that's already on your face, I suggest you make an appointment with a Nars artist and see what she shows you!

Today I'm off to get a facial, eyebrow wax and mani/pedi for my trip to LA! Hope you're all having a great weekend!!!
xoxo,
Pink Julep!
