This weekend my Madre, Humphrey and I went apple picking. We headed to Boston Hill Farm in Andover. It was really fun! They have lots of things for kids to do... they have a small petting farm with goats and sheep, they have one of those bouncy things, they have a little stand where you can try your hand at milking a fake cow. While we are only kids at heart, we still managed to have a fun time!

*After all our hard work we treated ourselves to an Apple Cider Donut.*
We had SO much fun. The apple cider donut was TO.DIE.FOR. I didn't even consider not eating it. They were fresh and warm and delicious. I may have to hunt down a recipe for these and give them a whirl.
I'm SO happy fall is here! Now I have an excuse to eat tons of apples... However, I think I might try making this apple upside down cake that was in this month's Cooking Light. I'll post the recipe when I do.
