Good Morning from bright and sunny Charlotte! It's official: TWO days until I'm hitched! We're busy, busy, busy! I picked up PB from the airport last night and we headed straight for the hotel. We checked in and shortly thereafter my wedding coordinator from The Ritz (we're staying elsewhere until Saturday night) sent us this sweet card and gorgeous Mango candle as a welcome for our wedding weekend.
Today we are up early to finish the menu cards and email them to Madre to print, email the bridal party to confirm rehearsal details, email wedding coordinator with day of details (why yes, we'd LOVE mimosas in the room while we get ready), do blog post (CHECK!), email officiant to confirm the time of the rehearsal tomorrow, GO GET OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE!!!, and get in a quick workout. I've been a little piggy this week and while my dress had a little leeway, must make sure it will zip!
We went to The Capital Grille last night and I must admit... NOT a huge fan. We had a weird waitress, I didn't love my dish... I got the seared tuna and it was seriously underseasoned. PB's steak was good, however. The truffle fries were Ohhhhhkay. I prefer extra truffle oil and they were not truffley enough for me. It was super pricey for just 'ok' food. As I said on twitter... in one word, "MEH."We're thinking Subway (or McDonald's) for dinner tonight... You know, because that's how we fancy peeps roll.
So, I thought I'd leave you with my Friday FIVE- Five things I made SURE to have this weekend!
FRIDAY FIVE: Wedding Weekend Edition
- PERFUME! Clearly one has to smell nice on one's big day. I tried not to go too crazy, but I brought Chanel Chance for the wedding day, Yves Saint Laurent's Pariesienne for rehearsal and Lilly's Beachy for the honeymoon. (Can we tell I have a perfume prob??)
- JEWELRY! As I mentioned on twitter yesterday, this unorganized bride has NO designated wedding earrings. Soooo, it's a good thing I brought all of my fun earrings. I can do huge pearls, big diamond studs, tahitian pearls with diamonds (not winning), or some fun faux sparklies I got as Nordstrom for the fall ball last year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what I pick, won't we?! (Read, I still haven't decided.)
- FAKE EYELASHES! This really needs no explanation. Stubs over here needs the biggest fakies she can find!
- DEODORANT! This may seem obvious... but *this* smart lady brought 4, YES 4, different deodorants... You know. Just in case I forgot it. All I can say is without them I'll be like Bethenny putting tissues under her arms. You know what I'm talking about.
- SIMPLY SLEEP! Whenever I have anything stressful/exciting/fun coming up I become a hardcore insomniac. I literally haven't slept more than 4 hours per night this week. I bloody well will sleep tonight, dangit! (Thank you Tylenol.)
