I know that a few of you who are reading are also planning weddings so I wanted to share with you a very cool idea - something we are doing for our wedding in June. Check with your florist about the containers that are being used for your wedding or party flowers. Sometimes you are purchasing them and don't even know it! Other times, you may be renting them, but for a few extra dollars, you can buy them and give them away after the reception. We are having small centerpieces like the one above, except the roses will be fuschia and there will be bear grass looped in the arrangement. Our invitation list is small and we don't want flowers to be in the way of conversations, especially since most of our two families haven't met each other! For just $3 extra each, we can give these cube arrangements away! We have decided to purchase all the other vases and containers used in the wedding so that we can give a little extra use to the flowers from our wedding and perhaps brighten the day for some of our guests! Also, the vases we are using to put the bridesmaids' bouquets in are also purchased specifically for the wedding, so the bridesmaids can take them home with their bouquets in them as well!
So check with your florist and find out exactly what you're paying for - might be nice to send Mom, Grandma and the bridesmaids home with one more little 'thank you' for being a part of your special day!
