. . . at this moment, there are perfume bottles scattered prettily about everywhere -- on the dresser, on the vanity, even on the desk, amongst pretty notepaper and fountain pens . . . and have always loved the way a simple tray, whether square or circular, gold or silver, can transform a few pretty bottles into a beautiful display; add venetian glass and deep emerald & onyx-hued marble, a bouquet of delicate peonies, and what could be lovelier?

. . . if you have been reading for a while, you will remember the wonderfully dramatic and startlingly lovely table center-piece of clear wine bottles flickering with candlelight, utterly perfect for lingering dinner parties that last long into the night . . . and here, along the very same elegantly eco-chic lines, hand-cut carafes & matching tumblers, fashioned and polished from wine bottles into wonderful works of art . . .

. . . late-spring rain and blustery breezes, and lately there are fallen petals everywhere -- between the cobblestones, and winter-worn fountains, on boxwood hedges and in secret gardens -- and the scent of freshly picked roses in etched glass vases and beautiful bouquets of lilies of the valley are enough to make one wish for every morning on the terrace . . .
