. . . a luxuriously low-key weekend spent lounging in golden sweaters and linen trousers, a late-night film {midnight in paris -- have you seen?} and a starlight stroll under the still-lingering scent of lilacs, slices of walnut bread & honey comb and many cups of coffee, and most of all, the sharing of secrets and the making of plans . . .

hope you've had a summery, romantic weekend & that it's beautiful where you are, roséline xo

. . . the morning began with coffee and balmy late-spring breezes, water fountains and farmers' markets for butter tarts and honey, meetings & appointments and a late-lunch of barbequed salmon & asparagus, and now, emails and macarons and a little tea and the days have been so sunny lately, can hardly stand it . . .

happy wednesday! hope you're having perfectly lovely week so far,
roséline xo

{p.s} more high tea

. . . late-spring rain and blustery breezes, and lately there are fallen petals everywhere -- between the cobblestones, and winter-worn fountains, on boxwood hedges and in secret gardens -- and the scent of freshly picked roses in etched glass vases and beautiful bouquets of lilies of the valley are enough to make one wish for every morning on the terrace . . .

......................................................................................................

{p.s.} recent two lovely things:
* green & white
* open shelves & elegant black
* bar carts & blossoms

* books & bouquets
* a paris apartment & hermès

{countdown to the royal wedding: high tea}

. . . and with the royal wedding merely days away, there is talk of duchesse satin gowns and horse-drawn carriages and happily ever after, and if you're hosting a tea party to mark the momentous occasion, be certain to serve vanilla bean buttercream cake,
scones and profiteroles, and vanilla & coconut macarons, of course . . .

. . . very much taken with the dreamy diffused light, delicate gold patterned china and scalloped spoons and dishware in interior stylist irina graewe's still life series, tea for two, not to mention the perfect intermingling of soft pink, smokey lavender and dusky lilac . . .

{p.s.} interestingly, graewe originally trained as a tailor at jil sander in hamburg and studied at the london college of fashion, before launching a career as a freelance interior stylist

"Paris is always a good idea."

. . . hello!
. . . things have been rather sporadic around here this week, with valentine's day on monday, finishing projects, last-minute preparations, and an ever-overflowing stream of emails, but most excitingly, cases to pack and a flight to catch, and now, a few beautiful days in paris . . .

uncertain when there next will be a moment to say hello, and so, for now, a fond farewell and à la prochaine,
xo

. . . after one too many cups of morning coffee, one of the best ways to spend wintry afternoons while working, is with the intoxicating scent of french candles and a perfect cup of tea, especially if the tea is from parisian salon mariage frères, steeped in history and a staggering number {over 500} of varieties to choose from, and best of all, the most beautiful hand-blown glass teapots one could ever hope to find . . .

{p.s.} for vintage lovers, they also have 1930's art deco tea pots

storage

. . . yesterday, late-monday afternoon, a dress and boots and camel coat, we, [p & i] took a little time out to take in an art fair, and on the way out the door, noticed his attire, dashing as ever in a chambray shirt and grey tweed blazer, and tan leather brogues, and thought again about perfect juxtapositions -- old & new and rustic & refined, modern & traditional, and city & country -- and so, to this unabashedly romantic and feminine place, shall add a little mix of boyish charm, just for p. . . .
