. . . and while we're on the topic of easing into the colder months, should like, very much, to wear white a little longer, at least until the leaves have fallen, and especially if it would mean arriving at the office in a stunning and rather elegant pantsuit, and spending the evening out in a ruffle-sleeved and billowy gown flecked in gold . . .

. . . and while we're on the topic of pretty platforms, have been taken with the now iconic charlotte olympia court shoe with its ultra elegant lines and stunningly chic gold metallic platform for quite some time now, and while it also comes in black, red, and natural raffia {also lovely!}, there is something so utterly romantic about the rose suede that is impossible to resist . . .

. . . a new pair of white strappy summer wedges earlier last week, for traipsing about town and blossom-laden walks with the dog, the third pair of wedges already this spring, and summer has yet to begin, and yet, after happening across these utterly charming prada platforms {above}, perfectly paired with pressed trousers turned in an ultra-chic french cuff in the most enchanting shade of august sunrise, am becoming quite smitten with platforms and their teetering heights and already imagine them with romantically flirty & lacy summer dresses for quiet lunch dates on cobbled terraces surrounded by spring flower boxes of pussy willows and daffodils . . .

. . . a classic trench with skinny jeans and open-toed sandals, or a belted blazer and café au lait on the terrace . . . there so many lovely things to look forward to . . .

{p.s.} travel plans to new york to attend a previous engagement tonight were thwarted by weather conditions, but all is not lost, as there are now new and beautiful plans for a return to paris before month's end . . .

. . . this past week has been one of changes -- a new cut and colour at the salon, a new resolve to get things back on track at the gym, and here, wonderful new ideas and plans . . . but for now, it's the weekend, and already, 8:15 dinner reservations friday evening, devastatingly handsome company and a glass of red by candlelight, and early saturday morning, a little shopping, coffee and lanvin, and late saturday afternoon, a glittering and golden sunset and a cozy drive out of the city in the last fading light . . .
