Weekend Recap: Baby Shower!

Welcome back from the weekend, lovely readers! What a fantastic couple of days, even though I do feel as though I've been living out of a suitcase!

We had the best time celebrating the coming of Baby Jax! Enough talk, I know you want to see some pictures, right?

Here you go....

~~~~~~~~~
 Our gifts for Baby Jax! What's inside? All of his bath time necessities!
If there's incredible dessert, you know I'm taking a picture of it- pink lemonade, chocolate-chocolate, & pumpkin-cream cheese cupcakes!
We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. It was such a nice break from the rat-race I've been running lately. The nursery is just perfect, too! I will be sure to take pictures during my next visit- Baby J will be here then!
When I got home yesterday evening, the fun didn't stop. Look what was waiting at my door step from Sarah at Southern Belle Fashionista!
Lilly cups and the most precious card!
Thank you, Miss Sarah! You're such a doll! Love you so much!
Happy Monday, gang! If you have today off (like me) I hope you're enjoying this great start to the week!
Update on my Aunt
We found out today that one lymph node is swollen, and they have to do a biopsy.
She has five doctors appointments coming up.
Continue to pray.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you again and again for your prayers, thoughts, hugs, well-wishes, whatever you did, thank you!

I'm a little teary just thinking about all your comments on my original post.

Keep praying. It's working.

With a Capital 'C'

We found out last night that my aunt (my mom's brother's wife) has breast cancer. We don't know many details at this point, but please pray.

Pray.

She is scheduling a scan today to see if the cancer is anywhere else in her body. She will have surgery in the coming weeks and radiation and chemo.
This is not the first time that my family has been devastated by the 'c' word, but it doesn't make it any easier.

It was about this time last year that my mom's brother was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away back in the winter.

Just keep my family, and especially my aunt's daughters (my cousins) in your prayers. Remember my cousin Sara's wedding I went to back in June? It's her mama.

 (Daddy, Mama, My Aunt, Me, My Uncle)

Say a prayer. Send a good thought. A smile. A hug. Make a wish.

 Cancer sucks, but I know God controls this.

Sara posted on her facebook last night 'I can't take the cancer away, but I have a God who can.'

Amen.

~~~~~~~~~~~
I know we all live busy lives but please take a moment and say a prayer today.
God answers prayers.
Thank you for your love and constant support of me, I know that you will lift up my entire family right now.
Your friendship means so much, thank you.
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful, beautiful, one-of-a-kind mamas out there!
And a very special heart-felt wish to my mama, the woman who has taught me everything I know about being a lady, being successful, loving unconditionally, never taking yourself too seriously, and living everyday with a smile and purpose.
I love you so much, mama!
Birthday Weekend
Happy Monday, everyone!
I hope you had a fantastic, fun-filled weekend with family and friends doing whatever your heart desires! As you know, I spent the weekend ringing in my 24th birthday. I had the best time celebrating with my parents, having a delicious dinner and being thankful for another year to pursue my dreams and embrace all the excitement coming my way!
Pictured: Mom and me on our way to dinner, restaurant photos, a few gifts and cards from friends and beautiful birthday flowers from my best friend, her husband and son.
My parents bought me a camera bag and strap for my new camera! I'll share pictures as soon as they arrive. And as soon as I find the one I like, they're getting me a rug for my dining area. Yay!
