"Some things are just better together: peanut butter and chocolate, Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, Rome and Vespas.  We decided to pair two things we love—the soft, cotton jersey of our favorite t-shirt, and the gorgeous sateen of the dresses of yesteryear—to create the Spanish Steps.  A luxe jersey cap sleeve top is gathered at the waist with a wide satin sash, and a veritable bouquet of appliquéd, ruched flowers and leaves adorns the full sateen skirt that swirls just below your knee.  A truly inspired combination, the Spanish Steps has star potential."

Fall in the City

I can't imagine a more wonderful place than New York for ringing in the fall season. These images of Karlie Kloss for the September issue of Vogue Japan certainly bring that dream to life. My favorites from this shoot include the cape in photo one, the shoes in photo seven, and the earrings in photo nine.

"Don't you just love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address."

Cozy Weekend Wishes!

(Images here, here, here, here, & here)

The temperatures are dropping and the days are getting shorter! You know what that means- cozy sweaters, steamy cups of Starbucks, sleek boots, and snuggling with loved ones!

Have a cozy weekend, loves! Stay warm, please!

Fall Fashion, No. 3 (Leopard Loafers)

(Images via 1, 2)

Leopard print.

In my world, it's classified as a 'neutral.' I wear leopard flats, bags, and other accessories anytime with just about anything. So you can imagine my excitement when the leopard loafer craze broke loose. I'm fairly certain that these shoes are just as versatile as your favorite ballet or pointy toe flats (even though at first glance it may not seem that way). This is one spotted bandwagon that I just can't resist jumping on!

Falling for H & M

(Images via H&M facebook page)

Oh my goodness, happy Friday, my loves!

To kick off this fall weekend I want to share the gorgeous new Conscious Collection from H&M. The deep hues and bold prints are exactly what I'm envisioning for the new pieces I'm adding to my wardrobe for fall and winter. In my opinion, fall and winter are far more fun to dress for than spring and summer. All the layers and the endless possibilities for print mixing give me the extra boost I need on those chilly mornings. Also,  I'm thinking that the bag in last picture would make the perfect go-to, everyday purse for any fall/winter outing.

B's parents are coming into town until Sunday afternoon, then my parents will be here Sunday evening. Need less to say, it's going to be a whirlwind weekend of family love and entertainment!

Sending you wishes for a fantastic weekend, loves!

Fall Fashion, No. 2 (The Cape)

(Images via 1, 2)

The cape. A fresh take on outerwear that makes my heart skip a beat. I've already added it to my Christmas wish list, but I'm thinking the wait may be just too much for me! I have a shorter version that looks great with my long, black leather gloves. However, these longer options below are just what I need for everyday winter wear- especially the Rachel Zoe with the collar and buttons, swoon!

Colorful, Fall Weekend Wishes

Here's to a gorgeous, colorful, fall weekend!

These photos make me want to get snuggly in a beautiful puffy vest and hop around town with Millie picking up fresh flowers, visiting the farmers' market and cruising on a scooter!

Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you may be doing- tailgating, shopping, relaxing at home or taking a weekend getaway!
