{thoughts on a thursday & what are you reading?}

hello-header

cambridge-satchel-mink

. . . yesterday was one of those beautiful august days spent traipsing about town for meetings & appointments, visiting many, many design shops for research for an exciting new project, a café date and late lunch date, and best of all, a stop at the art gallery on the way home -- gilded frames and arches of colour, eighteenth century chandeliers and heels on herringbone floors . . .

......................................................................................................

. . . and now, a perfect time to get caught up before friday's day trip -- a million emails and mile-long to-do lists, and perhaps, if there is time, a few moments to catch up on a little reading, and despite the fact that only six months ago, there were over 156 million blogs in the world, have managed only to happen upon two new {lovely!} ones last week, and so, whether books or blogs, or anything in between, would love to know, what are you reading?

. . . the morning began with coffee and balmy late-spring breezes, water fountains and farmers' markets for butter tarts and honey, meetings & appointments and a late-lunch of barbequed salmon & asparagus, and now, emails and macarons and a little tea and the days have been so sunny lately, can hardly stand it . . .

happy wednesday! hope you're having perfectly lovely week so far,
roséline xo

{p.s} more high tea

. . . happened across florence & florence, an utterly charming vintage shop run by mother and daughter, christine and annie florence, who have a love for beautiful things and "specialise in finding exciting second-hand pieces", filling their little shop with delicate glass compotes and filigreed pepper pots befitting the most elegantly extravagant dinner party on a mid-spring evening, scalloped cake stands and silver sugar tongs perfect for high-tea on a sunday afternoon, and tea & cake sets that will have you dreaming of the most romantic early april picnics . . .

. . . has been so lovely to step out in a light trench again, and with spring's near arrival, soon there will be lacy white dresses with scalloped hems, high-waisted skirts and pretty t-shirts, bare legs and kitten heels, and the promises of warm, breezy afternoons . . .

. . . quite smitten with these lovely storage solutions -- an elegantly rustic portobello cabinet in perfect pink, that can be hung on the wall or placed on the floor, and also comes in cream & sea green . . . and a pretty metal coat hanger strewn with roses, perfect for soft towels or pretty silk negligees . . .

{p.s.} the cabinet would also be lovely for displaying favourite shoes

. . . amazingly, mid-january, and the close of a most exciting week, and after a late dinner date in a dress strewn with magnolias and the promises of spring, nearly imperceptibly and yet most certainly, the days are silently becoming longer, and there is still the rest of this blissful weekend left to linger . . .

à bientôt | see you soon &
hope it's beautiful where you are,
